With this piece of artwork, I have tried to depict true strength and determination.
My good friend, Scarlett, is one of the strongest people I know. In mid 2010 she suffered with low self esteem on top of many other struggles in life. Due to these struggles she was hospitalized and made it through it all. She was determined to beat it, and that is what she has accomplished. Although she still may struggle with things from time to time she always manages to stay positive and put a smile on anybody's face. Scarlett is a true inspiration to me and that is what made me want to do this piece. One of her passions is hockey. Scarlett is beautiful on the ice, and off.
Today's society makes it extremely difficult for a teenage girl to be happy with herself. To wish you were someone else, is wasting the person you are. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
